What to expect
Every case is unique, and therefore your dental journey may look completely different from the one we have outlined below. There are many variables and options to accommodate to consider when planning the process. During your consultation and planning phase, we will discuss all your options and together make decisions that best suit your needs and lifestyle.
First Appointment
The team at Redefine Dental will take photographs, discuss your smile goals and evaluate the current shape, size and symmetry of your teeth. If needed, Dr Nikhael will discuss an interdisciplinary approach to ensure the ultimate aesthetic outcome. We will also take impressions of your teeth, which will allow us to design your new proposed smile in wax.
Second Appointment
During this appointment, we reshape your teeth according to the final result you would like to achieve. Next, we place temporary veneers. These are a fixed prototype of what your final restoration teeth will look like, and gives you a chance to assess the colour, shapes, and overall aesthetics. During this time, we will ask for your feedback on whether we should change anything for the final ceramic veneers. We will only proceed in custom manufacturing your veneers when we have your final approval.
We also recommend professional Teeth Whitening treatment before preparation for ceramic veneers. Teeth whitening ensures that you have a smile that matches the natural shades of your own teeth. Alternatively, we can veneer all your teeth, which would eliminate the need for any whitening.
Third Appointment
Now it's time to bond the ceramic veneers into position using a revolutionary bonding system. We will also share secrets of how to look after your new smile, and we may even take impressions for an occlusal guard (if needed).
Follow up appointments
At your follow-up appointments, we assess overall healing and integration. We highly recommend regular dental health checks to ensure that you are cleaning your natural teeth and veneers correctly. Proper maintenance of your veneers ensures that they last for many years.
